STAY AND PLAY PORTLAND!
Portland
is an undiscovered country for golf. Always green, lush and comfortable
to play from spring through fall - Portland's exceptional clubs will
offer a pleasant surprise to those seeking cooler temps from the dog
days of summer. Portland is also easy to get around in. For an
enjoyable golf experience this year why not make it Portland?
Pumpkin
Ridge Ghost Creek
North
Plains,
Oregon
The
beautiful rural setting of Oregon's Washington County now host the two
courses envisioned. Manicured fairways weave their way through forests
of Fir and Oregon Big Leaf Maple; they touch but keep their distance
from
pristine Oregon wetlands; they stretch across open meadows in
remarkable
harmony with the land. The surrounding panorama is painted with views
of
mountains in all directions while the foreground is a constantly
changing
canvas of rich farmland. The golf courses and their setting combine for
the ultimate aesthetic experience.
The
Reserve Vineyards Golf Club
Aloha,
Oregon
A
challenging 36-hole golf facility located on the fringe of Oregon's
wine
country, just 20 minutes west of downtown Portland. The
Reserve functions under a unique
format by which private members as well as the public are able to enjoy
the full range of resort-style amenities. The Reserve features two
wonderful
and challenging courses set amongst rolling terrain, stands of timber,
and Gordon and Butternut Creeks. The championship courses are designed
by award-winning architects John Fought and Bob Cupp.
Langdon
Farms
Aurora,
Oregon
Langdon Farms Golf Club was designed by
award-winning architects John Fought and Robert Cupp and shares course
architecture traditions with great courses from around the world.
Measuring 6,931 yards from the back tees, but only 5,246 from the
forward tees, the course puts a premium on accurate iron shots for low
scores, yet remains very playable for the recreational golfer.
A
commitment to superior playing conditions, and excellent drainage, make
Langdon Farms the best place to play every day of the year. Langdon
plows through a pastoral Willamette Valley setting with recessed
fairways that run like canyons between high grassy mounds. The
signature hole is hole #8, a 464-yard, par 4, which is also the number
one handicap hole. The charm of this hole is the original barn of the
Langdon Farms, circa 1918. The barn is considered part of the hole
design so you need to stay to the right side of the fairway in order to
avoid it.
Heron
Lakes Golf Club
Portland, Oregon
Located
just minutes north of downtown Portland and close by the airport Heron
Lakes Golf Club features two championship courses: the Great Blue
Course and the Greenback Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.,
each distinctive golf course offers players unique and thrilling
challenges. The Great Blue Course was rated 4 Stars by Golf Digest 's
"Best Places to Play" for 2008/2009. Heron Lakes was also Reader's
Choice Top 50 Public Golf courses by GolfWorld Magazine.
Both Portland golf courses make dramatic use of the surrounding
landscape. Golfers will delight in every test of skill. Play one golf
course or play them both, we guarantee you'll enjoy a golf experience
you won't soon forget.
